My career began with a series of diverse roles that provided me with a solid foundation in various aspects of business and operations.

 

• Assistant to the City Assessor, City of Alma: During my internship at the City of Alma, I was involved in property data collection and analysis, database data entry, and website design. This role enhanced my analytical skills and introduced me to the intricacies of local government operations.

• Printing Press Operator, FJ Graphics Inc.: At my family's printing shop in Lennon, MI, I operated offset and screen printing presses, ensured product quality, and maintained the business's landscaping. This early work experience instilled in me a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation for small businesses.

• Administration Apprentice, The Cleveland Play House: In this role, I was responsible for budget planning, financial analysis, corporate research, human resources, and board relations. This experience in the arts sector broadened my understanding of non-profit management and financial planning.

• Financial Management/Box Office Associate, Cleveland Public Theatre: I managed vendor relations, budget planning, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, non-profit auditing, and facilities management. This role further developed my financial and operational management skills.

As I progressed in my career, I focused on supply chain management and procurement, where I have made significant contributions to various organizations.

 

• Mortgage Banker and Team Lead, Quicken Loans and Reliance First Capital: These roles involved analyzing client finances, credit risk analysis, client service, and sales. My time in the mortgage industry enhanced my financial acumen and client management skills.

• Home Loan Processor, Wells Fargo: As a Home Loan Processor, I focused on financial reporting, problem-solving, and cost savings, which further honed my analytical and financial skills.

• Customer Service & Logistics Specialist, US Ecology, Inc.: In this role, I managed logistics, cost savings initiatives, and problem-solving tasks, providing me with a comprehensive understanding of logistics management.

• Digital Project Coordinator, National Geographic Learning: Here, I managed roster processing and database analysis for large school districts, ensuring efficient and error-free operations.

• Contract Negotiator, Air Force Civilian Service: As an intern with the Air Force Research Laboratory, I coordinated contract development, performed cost-analysis, and managed supplier relationships, gaining valuable experience in government contracting.

Leadership Roles in Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain
My recent roles have been pivotal in shaping my expertise in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.

 

• Indirect Procurement Manager, Spectrum: At Spectrum, I was responsible for vendor management, spend analysis, contract negotiation, and leading cross-functional teams in strategic sourcing for marketing, human resources, and customer operations. This role involved managing categories such as promotional items, headsets, events management, and more.

• Supply Chain Manager, KLA: In this role, I worked closely with leadership to improve global supply chain processes, systems, and reporting. I traveled to Germany and Singapore to resolve factory issues and led initiatives such as process mapping and global spares logistics.

• Sourcing Specialist, Corewell Health: Currently, I act as the focal point for supplier management, aligning supply base with organizational strategy. I execute sourcing strategies, manage supplier negotiations, and oversee contracts for cost savings and efficiency. My work has contributed to Corewell Health Supply Chain being ranked 2nd in the nation by Gartner.
